Hong Kong Disneyland Resort opened in 2005, and since then has enjoyed a short but remarkable history. Hong Kong Disneyland has contributed to boost Hong Kong’s tourism industry and supported the local community. We look forward to making more contributions in the future.

    The one-of-a-kind themed area Mystic Point officially opens. The ‘Mystic Magneto-Electric Carriage’ in Mystic Manor is by far the most sophisticated ride system in Disney’s history. Mystic Manor has been honored with the Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement – Attraction from the Themed Entertainment Association in 2013.

    Hong Kong Disneyland Resort starts to create Hong Kong’s single largest solar energy system by installing over 4,500 rooftop solar panels on a number of attractions and backstage buildings. The total power generation is expected to reach approximately 1.86 million kWh (equivalent to the power generated by an estimated 564 three-person households for one year). The Park hopes to encourage and promote the development of renewable energy, as well as reduce carbon emissions and ensure a cleaner future community for Hong Kong.
